Join us at the Hoover Dam as we show you what has been known as one of the engineering wonders of the world: Hoover Dam is also known as Boulder Dam. When completed in 1935, it was both the world’s largest electric power producing facility and the world’s largest concrete structure. It is currently the world’s 34th largest hydroelectric generating station. During the tour you will be able to view the seventeen turbine- generators that generate a maximum of 2,074 megawatts of hydroelectric power. Sweetours will also show you the Arizona spillway and the Arizona Look Out. (This is not the hard hat tour.)

The Hoover Dam tour includes a courtesy pick up and drop off at your hotel. While at the dam you will go on the Hoover Dam Powerplant tour, view the Arizona Spillway and Look Out. As always we will offer a unlimited supply of bottled water.

Recommendations

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Limited wheel chair access. No suitcases or oversized backpacks allowed due to security at Hoover Dam.

Please read tour highlights and consider any special needs a passenger might have. Many tours require some or much walking and have limited wheel chair access. Although Sweetours can accommodate most special needs, it may be required that the passenger be able to enter and exit the vehicle without assistance. Discuss your special needs with the agent when making your reservation.

Since the National Parks are hours away from Las Vegas, it is impossible for Sweetours to predict the upcoming weather. If we know that it may be unsafe to travel, we will cancel the trip and you will receive a full refund. If you are able to see the scheduled National Park tour for a limited time and bad weather rolls in, you are welcome to take another trip (of the same scheduled tour) with us at no extra cost. This offer is good for two years from the day of the original trip. No Refunds.

If you wish to cancel the trip, please contact us or your agent 24 hours in advance, otherwise your deposit may be forfeited. You should ask your agent for more information; Sweetours does not have the possession of that deposit.

Our vehicles range from 4 to 57 passengers. Sweetours reserves the right to use any of our vehicles for the tours depending on the size and of the group or availability. Any special needs must be reported at the scheduling of the reservation.

When Diesel prices in Las Vegas reaches $4.00 per gallon, Sweetours will impose a $3.00 fuel surcharge per passenger.
